About AMA

Who we are

Texas State's AMA Chapter is based out of the Emmett & Miriam McCoy College of Business. Our student organization has been recognized on the Collegiate Chapter Level and by Texas State University with a number of awards throughout its history.

We provide members the opportunity to attend professional speaker meetings, business skill workshops, corporate office tours, and participate in official competitions. Students will also have the chance to attend our annual etiquette dinner, regional conference, fun socials, and philanthropy events.

Our ultimate goal is to help students build a network of friends and future business connections while learning how to effectively market themselves. We are a close-knit group of business leaders who support each other in all endeavors

National AMA

The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the world's largest and most comprehensive professional marketing society. The marketing organization provides direct benefits to marketing professionals in both business and education and serves all levels of marketing practitioners, educators and students. It was founded in 1937 as a professional non-profit organization for marketers.

There are currently 350 AMA Collegiate chapters and 14,000 student members across North America taking advantage of membership in marketing's premiere professional organization. Participation in the collegiate chapter is an integral part of the AMA experience.
